In my opinion people should consume more vegetables and whole grains, and less fatty meats, salt and sugar. For example The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee wants Americans to change their eating habits people should shift their diets to be 'more plant-based' and consume only moderate amounts of lean meats, poultry and eggs. Limit intake of saturated fat to less than 7% of total calories. Current guidelines set the maximum at 10%. Americans are so obese because of things that are addicting are normally unhealthy such as smoking, foods that we choose to eat and even alcohol. It’s not that we don’t have choices we have plenty. When it comes to choosing fast foods as a meal we are not taught about why is so cheap. People also tend to buy fast food meals because of time and because it’s cheaper. This is why people don’t have another choice than to consume McDonald and other fast food Restaurant. Advertising is another reason why people consume unhealthy food they believe everything that comes out in an adverting. If the brand green wise at Publix was cheaper I am sure that many people would be able to consume it. But there are other ways to have a healthy diet not only by the green wise brand at Publix. Although people should try to buy the fruits and vegetables at Publix since they are cleaner and healthier. Exercise I also a way to improve our health and maintain ourselves in a good conditions.

I believe we can do something about our unhealthy food choices. It will take time because the process will be slow. For many years ordering a meal from McDonald's and super-sizing it was the "American Way". It is very important that we teach our children proper nutrition. Right now 45% of children in the United States are obese. Now, lets discuss the issues there are to eating healthy...the costs! It is less expensive and more convenient to grab a burger off the dollar menu than going to a grocery store and spending money on healthy foods. For example, compare the costs of white bread to whole grain bread or non-organic to organic foods. Eating healthy is very expensive, even though it is more beneficial in the long run. Also, nutrition should be taught in grade school, not just an optional course in college. We as individuals have to take the first step with making healthier choices for our diets.

Working parents don’t have time to sit around and cook a healthy meal for their kids, but grabbing a hamburger is quick and less expensive. Many kids who grew up eating fast food at a young age are immune to it, where it becomes a habit. Also, the industry is consuming these animals so quickly and selling them cheap because money is increasing. As stated in an article,”Obesity rate of people and the rise in the success of the fast food chains parallel each other. About 300,000 people die each year from being obese or overweight; this is second only to smoking. Fast food isn't the only reason people are gaining weight, but it contributes to it.” For example, in other countries they don’t have much fast food restaurant; they are use to their cultural food which is not added with extra fat and chemical fertilizer. This is why obesity isn’t a problem in other countries. I don’t think we can change or make our industry a better eating habit. At the end of the day people always choose what is more convent, which is fast food.

Society in the United States somehow has been pushed to believe that a “fast pace life” has to be associated to fast food and it is common to hear people saying “I don’t have time”, “there is not enough time”. Fast food restaurants are fast, cheap, easy, convenient, one can be found almost anywhere and most important people love them. Nowadays people don’t seem to have neither the time nor the patience to cook at home, but surprisingly some still manage to have the time to get the family in the car and drive around looking for a fast food restaurant. The main issue in our society is how to convince Americans to stop relying on fast food restaurants as their main source to get their food. Personally, I don’t understand the fast food culture in the United States; I have lived in this country for 12 years and I have never found myself eating a hamburger from McDonald’s or Burger King. I was raised in a household where there were three meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even after we moved to the United States we, my mom and I, still go grocery shopping once a month and we still maintain a diet based on grains, fruits, cereals, low sugar, low salt , we vary the intake of protein (red meat, fish, chicken, tuna), and there is always fresh homemade fruit juice; we hardly ever drink soda. If for some reason we did not have the time to cook a meal at home, we look for a nutritious option for a meal. I believe it is a matter of taking a first step to a better and healthier life; campaigns about nutrition should not reach just kids, but parents as well as parents are the role to follow for kids; we need to teach kids the importance of choosing wisely when it comes to food, but adults need to do it as well. It is not difficult to make time to cook a hot, healthy meal and have the time to enjoy it with your family instead of making meal time a “flavorless” experience.

In the last few decades, there has been an undeniable trend toward unhealthy eating habits; unhealthy for us and for our planet. Meat, as discussed in the TIME article, is produced at alarming rates in disgusting conditions, only to serve the bottomless American stomach for hamburgers, hot dogs, and the like. In order to change this situation, and change it we must, several steps will likely need to be taken. A great first step would be something that was also discussed in the TIME article by Bryan Walsh: legislation that creates a minimum amount of space on a farm per animal. In other words, create a law that forces farmers to produce fewer animals per acre, and thus give the animals that they do raise for slaughter a relatively comfortable life. Unfortunately, the most obvious backlash of this plan is monetary – the decrease in the number of animals allowed in a certain area would increase the price of the meat, for the farmers would not want to go hungry themselves. But, perhaps the increase in the price of meat would not be such a curse after all.
“Based on a 2,000 calorie diet” are the words printed on the bottom of nutrition labels across the nation, yet I can count on one hand the number of people that I know that abide by this habit. People simply eat too much, and that is not entirely their fault. A meal from Burger King or Mickey D’s takes up probably half of that amount, if not more, and not many people would be content with eating a single burger value meal and a couple of apples as their entire day’s rations; but they should be. A higher price for meat, spurred on by the above noted legislation, would undoubtedly create a decline in meat sales. People would learn to eat more vegetables, and learn to conserve the meat that they consume, not fork it down like it was oxygen.
Granted, a single piece of legislation will not solve this country’s diet and meat and grain production problem (and honestly, it’s not just this country). Countless steps would need to be taken. The gradual removal of hormones and antibiotics is a good second step, but it would have to be over several years time. At the same time, a decrease in the use of pesticides and fertilizers for corn, other grains, and vegetables would have to be instituted, otherwise there won’t be any fish left in the gulf, and Americans would lose one of the best sources of lean protein and Omega-3 fat they’ve got. Education, beginning at an early age, about nutrition, the environment, and their relationship would be an excellent idea as well. All of this is going to cost money, and our government as well as thousands of taxpayers will be reluctant to fund these legislations, but there are steps that can be taken in that direction as well. A new tax bracket for the elite, and a cut back on military funding perhaps?

Wow, this blog not only shocked me but also reitrates the seduction of my appetite. After all, this is not a cladestin case, we see it everyday, right in our faces. More Americans our relying on cheap food especially during the "recession." But, trying to go CHEAP on vital elements (nutrients) can turn out to an expensive outcome. I would say it is our responsibility to watch what we eat or how much we eat. The food chain cooperations are making tons of profits by torturing, and then killing these important animals. And guess where all that money is coming from... I'll let you answer that... Nonetheless, next time you go
grab a burger ask yourself this question: What am I paying for? To feed my hunger or to help kill these animals?

Many people can sit here and argue how convenient fast food is for everyone in our society. A single mother working two jobs is not always ready to go home and feed her kids because she may be too tired to get home, prepare food and cook.
This is completely understandable. But has this mother ever thought of the fact that she can lose up to one whole day at work at a doctor's office and much more money on medications for one of her sick children by feeding them junk "cheap" food all the time? Probably not.
Everyone complains about healthy food being overly priced, and I agree with this 100 percent but to every problem there is a solution. When someone wants something, they save up for it right? Then why not save up and spend a little extra money on groceries every week? To me it might seem reasonable and others might not think so but the reality is that even "cheap" food isn't all that cheap anymore.
A family of four can spend around $20 daily for dinner alone at McDonalds or Burger King. That's almost $150 a week that can be spent on healthy groceries which don't necessarily have to be organic.
Eating a healthy cooked meal can enlighten everyone and make them feel better rather than eating salty french fries and over greased burgers every day. Back to the previous scenario I had mentioned earlier, if this single mother stops eating and feeding her kids all the junk food then she wouldn't be as tired. Junk food is the worse to be fed to anyone especially children.
Visit or observe young children and anyone can notice that kids keep getting bigger and bigger throughout generations and it's not because they're just tall but these kids are becoming very overweight and filled with hormones that just make them unhealthy.
So in the end, it is all up to the individuals to eat what they would like. Corporations like McDonalds can't be blamed for exploting advertisements, they're a business and that's their job. To attract as many customers as possible, for good or bad, they know what damage their food produces but they're not going to lose millions of customers for it. Those millions of customers must inform themselves of what they are feeding their bodies.

Recently there has been an increase in unhealthy eating habits in the United States. In order to feed the unquenchable hunger of Americans, meat is produced under abhorrent conditions and in mass quantities. One step towards change would be enacting limits on the amount of animals on a farm based on space. This would allow greater area for the creatures to roam and would also reduce production. Of course this would cause prices to rise, but this would lead to a lower rate of meat consumption. Americans tend to over-eat with the assistance of fast food. For instance, a meal from McDonalds satisfies much of a person’s daily caloric needs. Meat is not supposed to be consumed in the quantities Americans desire. This leads to problems like heart disease. An increase in the cost of meat would lead to the intake of more vegetables. Another step towards the solution might be legislation forbidding hormone injection and the like (keep the meat as natural as possible). The use of pesticides and fertilizers must be decreased to prevent run-off, which is harmful to aqueous species, such as fish, which is a great alternative to all the red meat.

It is a fact that we need food and we can’t live without it, however we should consider eating healthy food like vegetables, grains and fruits, instead of eating junk food which leads to obesity and an unhealthy life. Obesity is a big problem in our society nowadays, and it seems to me that people don’t understand that this is affecting their health because you will see a lot of obese people in fast food restaurants like McDonald, Burger King, etc. Fast food contains a lot of calories and raises your cholesterol fast which affects your health to the point that you can have a heart attack. I don’t think eating junk food once in a while is bad however we should consider improving our eating habits and eat healthier. And while eating junk food just remember that the meat of the hamburger you’re eating probably came from an animal that was brutally killed and lived in an unhealthy environment

Clearly, something can be done about the problem proposed here. It is simple; just like most social problems, the change can begin only with oneself. People need to be willing to realize that this is a serious problem in our society today; so serious that it has led to fatalities from organ complications that all seem to point their fingers at what we eat. Simply put, if people were educated enough to realize that they need to watch what they put in their body, we would not have this problem. Its simple biology and should be common sense by now. There are also people who feel victimized because they say they don't have time to be cooking a meal or they don't have enough money to be eating properly but this is not true, they have simply just chosen the easy way out, the unhealthier choice. Therefore, like I said before, the only way we could see change is if the people come to this understanding that we need to be eating healthier and disregard the circumstances put before us like advertisements.

To me cosumption habits at the magnitude, that we have always tried to sustain are completly insane. We can change the fact that our food is being produced at such inhumane conditions and even we could change it all at once jsut by, simply modifying our diets to include more vegetable or fruits for that fact.
Humans have come to the point where we are pastpurelly surviving needs but despite that we still behaive like carnivorous primitive beast in many aspects.

I think people have the right to choose what they want to eat. And at the same time the companies can pay to advertise their products however they want if they do not violates any law, or rights. Like forcing us to eat their food. Eating those food is an option the american society prefer to buy these high prices fast food rather than cook at their houses. I do not judge the company that selling them or advertise for them because they have to make money. The people that are help accountable are those people who are buying it. They think cooking their own food will take too long. The reason I say the companies are not responsible for these junk food is because I see the advertisement on Tv or other places all the time but this do not force me to eat them, I never envy them. I always say there is nothing better than home made food. I know some people might disagree but I know some will agree with me if they know what I mean. With that I wish everyone could see it as I see it but there has to be someone out there to buy these food. It's business.

Eating healthy indeed is an expensive choice. The problem here is that the government doesn’t take action on this issue. Why not help farmers grow natural organic food and sell them for low cost? Why an organic vegetable is more expensive than a burger in McDonalds? It doesn’t make any sense.
The government should raise prices for fast food, in a way it should motivate people to buy healthier food. It is amazing how obese people continue supporting unhealthy food intake, they raise their children with their same customs and there is the consequence. According to the National Health and examination survey, about one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese. Approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2—19 years are obese. This is insane, how come you see yourself in the mirror every day and see your problem and do nothing about it?
I think it is time to start a new way of living, new diet, more fiber, fruits and vegetables instead of candies and greasy food. I know time is an issue, because it happens to me, I’m a full time student and I work every day from 9-5, but it depends how much you love yourself and how much you care for your health that time no longer is an obstacle.

The “fact” that junk food is cheaper than real food has become a reflexive part of how we explain why so many Americans are overweight, particularly those with lower incomes. I often hear people say “it’s more affordable to feed a family of four at McDonald’s than to cook a healthy meal for them at home,” In fact it is not true. Obesity has mirrored the rise in cheap meats and produce, and that may be tipping the country's health care system into the red. Although the cost of food is determined by fundamental patterns of demand and supply, the balance between good and ill also depends in part on governments. If politicians do nothing, or the wrong things, the world faces more misery, especially among the urban poor. If they get policy right, they can help increase the wealth of the poorest nations, aid the rural poor, rescue farming from subsidies and neglect—and minimize the harm to the slum-dwellers and landless laborers. So far, the auguries look gloomy. The moral: Cheap food isn't cheap.

It is my opinion that in this country we tend to place blame on others a bit excessively. I’m referring to the fact that we always want somebody to “baby” us.
The main reason why I believe it’s a bit excessive is because we are always blaming corporations, or the government for certain things that to me, should mostly be part of our common sense. Therefore, we get these warnings on things that are a little too much, or we try to take to court people blaming them for all our ailments when it is my belief that we have a clear choice and it is people that make the bad choices. This post made me once again think of how infuriating it was to me when I heard in the news that a group of obese people tried to take McDonald’s to court for their obesity!!! I mean, correct me if I’m wrong, but did Ronald McDonald ever put a gun to anybody’s head to force them to go eat at “his” restaurant. I understand that maybe McDonald’s nutritional information was quite obscure until recently, but we all “knew” that it is something you don’t want to be eating on a daily basis, unless we are willing to suffer the consequences. Some might argue that advertising campaigns are too strong to resist and in this scenario, McDonald’s becomes the “evil” corporation. But I believe that they are just trying to make their money, and let’s be frank, are we robots that are so easily programmed that I f we see an ad, all of a sudden we really want that burger? Another argument of course, would be that these corporations target the children by putting mascots like Ronald McDonald that clearly target the kids, but aren’t we as parents much more influential in the decision making process of said kids?! So, who’s to blame if the kid becomes obese?

First and foremost, Americans and the rest of the obese world must alter their nutrition. We simply eat too much meat and not enough fruit and vegetables. This high demand leads to an increase in production of meat-producing animals, which creates a more cramped living environment for these animals. These harmful living conditions are not only detrimental to the animals, but to our health as well, displayed best in the high percentages of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes in America. Legislation and education are the major steps that must be taken to transform the monstrosity that we call the food industry into a beneficial, healthy system. The addition of antibiotics and hormones to animals is cruel and is disturbing to our health as well, and it must be stopped to prevent the complete annihilation of our health. Also, pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer usage must be diminished and eventually eradicated to prevent the destruction of our environment. All of these laws would be wonderful, but the fact is promoting and educating on healthy eating habits will greatly aid in the reduction of this problem.

After the discussions in class about food and its production is extremely necessary for us to modify our eating habits. The blog is an eye opener to the problems we are experiencing in society. Such as obesity, the fast-pace which food is being produced and the high price with are paying for over-processed food. There are many modifications we can take in order to help decrease this problem. As an individual, we can start by changing our eating habits and improving our diets. This means instead of eating fast food such as McDonalds, BK, subway, etc., to actually take the time to cook our meals or at least to replace this meals for a well-balanced meal. Not just because we are not eating McDonalds it automatically means that we are eating healthier, this might not be the case. The food that we purchase in the supermarket is also a big contributor to this problem because some of the products we buy have been processed with hormones and many other chemicals in order to satisfy the demand. So we have to be really careful when it comes to grocery shopping, we need to start buying more organic products because they are healthier and they taste better than any fast food you can try. Like Triff said, “we pay for what we eat.” Hopefully we can all start helping to decrease this condition because it is not fair for us and/or the animals we mistreat in order to supply the enormous demand that we have in society for food.

Food is life. No one can have life without food, but not all the foods contribute to a good lifestyle. Life without health is not a good life. To have good health, you need to eat good foods; foods that have all essential nutrients that our bodies need. Eating fruit, vegetables, and legumes for example, can provide us the quantity of nutrients that our bodies need to normally function. Whereas, eating fast foods all the times, like French fries and hamburgers for example can have a negative impact in our body functions. We need to make an effort to take care of ourselves properly by providing our bodies food like carbohydrates that have essential nutrients for our bodies’ function and that can provide glucose for our brains and our red blood cells so that they can function properly. Carbohydrates are also the sources of energy for our bodies. In addition, they are part of the food that specialists in nutrition recommend us to eat. Developing habits to eat good foods can help us live well and live longer, but it will require a little bit of our time and it will also cost us a little bit of money. However, it is better to put good food in our bodies than to put foods that can be harmful to our body system. I understand that because of lack of time, you look for foods that are ready to eat, and sometimes that may cost you less. You also need to understand that your health is better that anything. Your body is nourished by what you put in it. If you put good foods, your body may stay longer than what you don’t expect, but if you put foods that are high in fats, calories, and sugar, your body may face all kinds of diseases and you may not live longer. Therefore, you need to start feeding yourselves with foods that are low in fats, low in calories and sugar free.

For 19 years of my life I've been eating almost anything that was put in front of me. From fried, sugar coated, extra buttered to the extreme, I ate without questioning if it was right for me or not. Many times it's not a persons fault to have such unhealthy eating habbits, specially if that person is a minor. It was only a month ago when I became conscious of my nutritional needs and I began to take responsability of what I put into my mouth. I chose to say no to fast, fried, sugary food; as well as those foods that lack nutritional value. I believe the main reason behind America's obessesity is that children are raised in a house hold with unhealthy eating habbits and after 18 years of conditioning they can't seem to break free. But, you can always do something about it. I took responsability of my life, and a big part of my life is what I eat. So yes, it is possible to eat healthy and to change life long habbits.

Most people are not aware of the risks they take when they consume unhealthy and fast-foods. Our bodies are designed to digest slow, stable foods like plants. When we eat foods that are highly acidic and filled with processed sugars, hormones and preservatives our bodies literally rot inside from microform overgrowth in overly acidic living bodies by yeast and fungus. Most reasons behind diseases occur from the way we eat but doctors do not always mention that. If you think of the word disease it is dis-ease of the body. People also forget about the importance of drinking the right amount of water. Drinking sodas and juices does not count we need to provide our bodies with the basic component in order to create a healthy pH level. To become healthy we need to alkalize our bodies and eat right which means most of our plate should include vegetables. The first step to eating right is to properly educate ourselves and those who we love. Changing the way we eat is not an easy task. It is difficult because of the way we were conditioned to eat and think throughout our lives. Taking the easy way out is not a good route to go. If each person improves their eating habits alone then the amount of people who eat unhealthy foods will slowly decrease. It only takes one person (yourself) to change the world because if everyone worries and changes their habits alone then one will turn into thousands. As a result of thousands of people eating healthier, the amount of fast food companies will decrease as well, along with the overgrowth of factory raised animals. We can all make a difference in ourselves and in the world if we change ourselves.

Of course we can do something about it; we live in the most advance country in the world. In order to change our eating habits we have to educate ourselves, by "educating" I mean explore the world of fast food such as Macdonalds, by exploring i do not mean buying a Big Mac, we have to understand that the one dollar menu is just a way of making a profit for meat that is usually not on the menu (making a profit out of something that otherwise would be waste material). Now what its being consider "farming" now adays is what i would call "assembly of food," basically corporations are putting together a product that is easy to advertize, since they are targeting our hunger. So the first step we should all take is stop eating and feeding our children junk food, stop buying this products, we have to hit these corporations were it hurts, their pockets, we have to star eating healthier cooked at home meals. Watch a documentary about fast food restaurants, I guarantee you will never buy a double whopper in your life. JULIO RECONCO

I don't actually eat this type of food because everything I eat is made at home but, for those of you that do eat this food I can tell you there is a lot of things that we can do to get better eating habits. The firts thing that people have to do is learn how to eat and what they eating, most of the people eat untill they can put more food in their stomach and that's a bad habit some others eat anything whit out paying attention to what they putting in their mouth. I know that people allways come whit excuses and the most common is "I don't have time to cook" . I work, go to school, work out five days a week and still have time to cook my feood so for me people just look for excuses. People that don't care about their food don't care about themself. I recomend to thos people that eat this food to watch " Fast food nation" after they watch this movie they will think about eating fast food. If you don't take care of yourself who is gonna do it? Be healthy!.

The “fact” that junk food is cheaper than real food has become a natural part of how we explain why so many Americans are overweight! particularly those with lower incomes. But we also have to see the other side of the coin. the live style the rhythm that is lived throughout the U.S ( no time ) . it does not matter if it is working class or high class the point here is that , there are many people that do not have the time to cook their food so they may eat once or twice in a decent restaurant where they can get a balance food , but you cannot always be spending $ 12 dollars in a lunch where you can get a meal for $ 5! that is in one particular case, on the other hand, we have those that because of their income and because of their time the only reachable place are Fast food “restaurants” such as McDonald or Taco bell and many others, In general, despite there are extensive markets where you can get cheaper your vegetables or food in general people are just taking the easy path so that at least they can eat something.Advertising is another factor of why people consume more unhealthy food is very rare to see an advertising of cheap vegetables!! we always are just going to see fast food propaganda!!.What can we do about it? first people needs to be committed it's their heath they are playing with. Try to look for coupons so you can have an option of getting discount, find out where are the places that are cheaper, if you don not how can you balance your food and you have a reduce budget go to mypyramid.gov and look for supplements of the thing are more expensive fot you. Like if you dont have the opportunity of buy meat look in my pyramid and see with what you can supplement it.But the essential of all of this is committment with oneself.

Unfortunately, we are attacked of advertising daily. Conscious or unconsciously these advertising manipulate our decisions to buy something; that is one of the reasons we consume a lot of fat food instead of healthy food. However, we cannot avoid it and we can ask the seller for eliminating these advertisements or taking these foods out of the market, so the only solution is to change our bad habits and to introduce to the market more advertisements of healthy food. Another solution is the education; we should educate our future generations since they are children and that’s way they will be hardly manipulated. On other hand, I am happy to know that some organizations such as FDA are taking steps to awareness people because nowadays supplier and sellers are pushed to put the ingredients, nutrients, and other important information in the food labels. Since these liabilities exist, producers have tried to make food with healthier ingredients.

Food is necessary in our lives. Food has proteins, vitamins and many other ingredients we need to survive. However, there are certain ways we treat our food that make it turns out to be bad for our health. What can we do about it?
The first thing we could do is change our eating habit. Most people, due to their work schedule and other activities, do not have the time to cook. Therefore, whenever they find food fast and cheap they grab it. I think we need to stop doing that. It is time for us American to cook for our family and friends. Once we start cooking often, we going to have a connection with the food. Also, we are going to want to know their origin. By knowing their origin, we are going to start thinking of a better way to raise and grow our food.
In certain places, the way they raise the animals that we eat it’s like they torture them. Also, we spend a lot off many to feed these animals. Therefore, we should change our daily meal. For instance, we should consume meat four days within a week and consume more vegetables instead. Like that we will decrease the demand of meat, which will help us save on the money we are spending on feeding these animals. Furthermore, we should stop eating constantly at the fast food restaurant, which is not good for our health. The meat they put inside the burgers is not one hundred percent meat that’s why they are so cheap. To conclude, we should change the way we eat as soon as possible for our health and our economy.

What do they find so appealing about a hamburger? If parents know better, why do they allow their children to pack on calories they really don’t need? If “shopping it’s a pleasure at Publix”, why not buy vegetables there? I believe parents need to wake up. I personally get very sad every time I see either an obese or overweight kid walking down the street. They really don’t know what the real implications are; they are just innocently enjoying the moment. However, parents should educate themselves and make better decisions for the well-being of their families. Watching television is not the solution. Changing eating habits, getting them motivated and engaged in physical activities is what will make a difference at the cellular level. Learning how to say “no”, while controlling and reshaping their habits is also the key to healthy living. It is such awareness what will make the big companies unable to seduce, and entice consumers.

We can do a lot of things to prevent more obese people in us; fast food is cheap but is bad for your health. To improve our eating habits you need to start eating organic food, more vegetables, fruits and proteins. Try to have a diet rich in fish chicken salads, don’t eat fried food can give you a high cholesterol. As we start to do all of this we need to teach our family, kids and all the people that need it how to eat healthy and prevent them to be sick for bad alimentation. It’s very important drink plenty of water so you clean your body of waste and toxins. You need to eat different type of foods including grains, fiber vitamins, legumes etc. all of these healthy habits should be combined with physical exercise at least 30 minutes every day. The problem of obesity here in the united states it’s that some people don’t have enough time to lunch for example people that work a lot and the first solution is the fast food and also the advertising of those industries like McDonalds or burger king make people eat for a cheap price

The fact that cheap, factory farmed food may be bad for us is non-negotiable; however, the idea that we could take the time to thoroughly and humanely raise ad slaughter each animal that is later grinded into a hamburgur is fairly imprudent. These "factory farms" exist for a reason; they are supplying the need for sustenance, at a reduced cost to the consumer. It is up to the consumer to choose whether or not to eat said unhealthy food, but at least it is readily available.

The hectic life we lead today often forces us to not pay attention to what we eat, and not taking into account that many foods we eat are not entirely healthy, for more that look appetizing. But having a good diet goes far beyond simply eating vegetables and fruits. We must improve our habits and this involves making a complete food, friendly to our environment and our own body. There are some basic rules that will help us achieve healthy foods, appropriate, and friendly environment. A good diet prevents the onset of disease, and thus the consumption of medicines and resources in very different ways. Here are some measures which may be helpful to choose a better diet :
1-Do not eat anything your grandmother would not recognize as food: Choose natural, organic, preferably local ingredients. This minimizes transportation and use of refrigerators and other resources.
2-Do not eat anything that will not rot: This phrase is clear: if natural and organic, it has a life cycle. Foods with excessive chemical preservatives tend to be preserved longer able, even within our stomach in the digestive process.
3-Do not eat more than necessary: Eat what your body asks, without gorging and without consuming too many resources, wrappers and things will eventually become waste.

This is pretty shocking, not only that but nasty. There is such a demand for these animals that we're willing to put our health at risk to get the product. I think we should defiantly start exposing these type of articles to the public because no one really knows the process in which we the burgers we eat everyday. The reason why we have so many health problems are because of the lack of knowledge the public have. As Americans we should look closely at where our food are coming from and how the public is being effected by it. We have obese children running all over the place and the generation to come isn;t going to do anything differently. Educating our kids is the best way to solve this problem and have stricter regulations at these farms are the best way to go.

In my opinon there is something that the government has to do with the jobs. I feel like most people buy these cheap burgers, and fries because they dnt have enough money to make a good home cooked meal. For instance if you are in home with just a mother with 4 kids, this mother easily do best thing by going to mcdonalds 49 or 59 cent burgers and then worry about the bill because there father cant a find job.so with the economy where its going I think obesity rate is going grow to an evrn higher rate.
