Human Being Traffic has a very wide variety of branches and finalities; examples of these traffics are the child traffic used for labor purposes; women traffic for prostitution; organs traffic, that i believe is one of the most serious business today, because some people are killed in order to save some others. Nevertheless the raping business. Yes I call these issues businesses, because they are nothing else but interests of someone that has a different point of view about what is ethical and what is not, in respect of the majority of the people that live in this world. But i would like to take advantage of this blog to invite you to reflect about what is ethical and what is not. As seen majors philosophers consider ethical for example a behavior that is shared, and accepted from most of the people, and this behavior turns to become a model. Raping clubs in Japan, prostitution in Italy, child traffic in India, China's organs bargains, childhood cheated out in Russia...and i could go on and on... These are examples of people behaviors, actions, restrain of freedom versus other individuals, but they are so many that make me think that they are not in such a minority as we could think, or at least as we would hope. These are just few examples, but what about those people who self prostitute on line, by phone, chats, in person... and what about the people who take vantage of these others people volitions of self selling ? People traffic, exploitation, racial segregation are everywhere, around the corner, in our backyard, in front of our eyes.. what is Guantanamo? Is it not a legalized form of torture? Is not it more dangerous than a censured one? Is not this "accepted" from the highest world's leaders? Those are the minds that give the world the example in a every day life and these are the things that maybe what we believed once was not ethical, or that was wrong is slightly changing, for some it is wrong for some others is ok, for some other is the right thing... we are becoming something different maybe, at the end are not we just processes?

Matteo: Good comment. If what you're trying to articulate is that humans are prone to rape, war and plunder, I have to agree with you. The point is what to do about "the process"? as you call it.

Who is to blame but ourselves for this endless piling up of thousands of years of horror?

And so, can we make it better?

That's the difficult and seemingly endless road of philosophy.

Sexual Exploitation in Women

A topic as delicate as human trafficking seems almost non-existent and over looked by many on a daily basis. This horrific crimes seems practiced in many places around the world such as: Africa,China and even the United States just to name a few. From under age girls to adult women there seems to be no discrimination when referring to women as sexual objects. Sexual exploitation businesses include street prostitution, escort services, massage parlors, health clubs, brothels in hotels, rented houses and apartments and legitimate front businesses according to Janice G. Raymond, PhD from the University of Massachusetts. The way human traffickers persuade foreign women into coming to their country is forcing them against their will or falsely promising them the "American dream".Human Trafficking deprives women from their humans rights and also raises issues such as increase of sexual crimes and global health. I believe that the reason why the government has not intervened to help women in prostitution is because the sex industry generates profit amounting billions of dollar. The governments has convince themselves, and the public, that they help facilitate women’s employment opportunities and statistics by permitting prostitution in some parts of the world. As long as women continue to exist and poverty continues to grow the demand for women trafficking will continue.

The point is that the violence or the evil has been always existing, in various forms, religious wars, north against the south, east against the west, gay fighting for rights, racial battles, drugs, prostitution, child labor, raping, corruption, no democracy, no freedom of speech, organs traffic....with could go on forever. So all these things that are a lot, maybe are here because is part of our DNA, and since we consider them wrong only when we are on the other side, or out of these matters, we think that are bad, and point the finger, when we are the protagonists, we don't give much attention to it.
We come from Monkeys, we are animals, with an instinct of survivals that fight in a jungle, how the jungle changed his look and how we changed our don't matter, we want to satisfy our own wills no matter what is the price.
When is our turn to suffer we do and we fight back, the strongest, the smartest, the luckiest one wins.
We don't kill until we don't need it, we don't sell drugs until we have money to support our family, we respect the others until we don't feel threatened, and so on .. but what most of us does when we face these limits?
Who, what can stop us to act "wrong".
What is wrong in treating people as an ends if the alternative could hurt ourselves? Ipocrisia today feels people mouth, columns in newspaper, titles of major tv news.
Couple stay together for years and say i love you, have kids together and they divorce, they need lawyers to communicate, they distroy themselves, for money, for revenge, for hate, for whatever their reason is.. do they ever felt love for them self?
Can we think that they can conceive love? What is love and what is hate? How can you split them if a person can do both , love and hate...
We probably we don't have to do anything about the process, because this is the way we are, but we should think differently about what is horror, maybe is not that horrible..

Once people with with mental disturbs were killed because considered evils, later they have been isolated, later on studied and called crazy, today we consider them sick, they have rights, help from the government and we feel sometimes pity for them.

What scares us is just what we don't understand, we live all life fearing the God punishment and we don't fear the Human Barbary that we share with that our life time.

Human Trafficking
For years we have been hearing about what we humans are capable of doing to each other, it seem that we neither boundaries nor limits in the many ways we can exploit our kind. The worse part in all this is when we feel that something needs to be done, but NO ONE is willing to do it. Moreover, how many times we see this kind of behaviors happening in our neighborhood? The solution is so simple and it only takes a few minutes on the phone with our local Police Department. It is up to us to try to stop these mafias around us and our children. We must stop living in the blind side of society where the majority of the popular thinking is “I don’t want to get in troubles” come people is our future that we are dealing with. In a future not so far were the protagonists of these stories could be our children and there is no telling in which side are they going to fall on, the pimp or the hooker, either case it is really bad.
We must stop endorsing these companies, because they generate a great damage for society; sometimes it looks fun when people go and visit these places and tell us about it, we laugh and comment “oh that is so cool” perhaps we don’t realize the huge, abuse, dirty industry that is behind all this. In my own experience I can tell because a friend when to China I visited one place like this and that was my answer to him. Now I understand or probably never wanted to open my eyes to this part of reality in which we are all living in.

Human trafficking, also known as trafficking in persons is a modern day form of slavery. The United Nations defines human trafficking as "The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation". The Department of Justice notes that human trafficking frequently involves the trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation and also often involves exploitation of agricultural and sweatshop workers, as well as individuals working as domestic servants.
Human trafficking has been in existence for many years; however, the intricacy of the topic has evolved due to social and economical conditions or globalization. Globalization as the reason would be a very easy way to dismiss the issue. Also, advancements in technology have contributed to the increase of human trafficking by allowing fast, easy, and unidentifiable information available to offenders (Salett, 2009).
Moreover, humans that are trafficked are seen as a renewable source, they can be sold and resold over and over again. That makes trafficking in persons the third most profitable criminal international activity after illegal weapons and drugs (Morse, 2006).
It is impossible to know precisely the magnitude of the issue and statistics are difficult to obtain because trafficking is an underground activity. It is also a global health issue due to infectious diseases like AIDS and cervical cancer. It is appalling and morally unacceptable that this practice still exists in our society and certainly we should do more to fight it.
There are several groups involved in the campaign to fight human trafficking. The Labor Secretary and Social Welfare and UNICEF developed the campaign. This is a multi-media campaign, which comes with a music CD, video, posters, billboards, pamphlets, and TV and radio dramas. The goal is to provide the youth with information regarding trafficking, how to avoid it, and it allows for the community to come together and figure out how to protect his children from becoming victims.

The fact that there is still human traffic in this day and age is just uncalled for and shows that some people in our society are still living in the medieval age. Women and children are being treated like a product in North America, Africa, Europe, Asia and South America there being sold for prostitution and drug trafficking. Most of these women have no right in there country because women are seen Asia where most of the trafficking destinations are within the region 60 percent are major cities of the region; 40 percent are outside the region. What bothers me most is that this is happen in our own back yard. You would think that North America would protect is women since we’re all about protecting our citizens but in this situation it’s not the case. “Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world with the total annual revenue for trafficking in persons estimated to be between $5 billion and $9 billion”. Sadly this is a billion dollar industry so what county will honesty stop a “business” that brings that much money into the county that is rural. There will be always be human trafficking until there are stronger punishment in place to stop these men from using women and children as nothing more than profit.

Even though we are living in a time of great discoveries and huge technological advances, our society continues to struggle with the old and ugly issue of human trafficking. In the last few years this issues has gotten worst, and it makes me deeply sad to see how low society has fall. There are millions of people suffering by the hands of others, women being sold like they were a piece of furniture, kids undergoing hunger and sexual abuse. Many people around the world are well inform about this terrible problem but do nothing about it, and the few people who are acting on it, find themselves fighting alone. To come up with a solution to this issue we need to act together and demand to each government a stronger reinforcement and strict laws against any type of human trafficking, also a better education for all the citizens. We need to make this problem a priority. Yet it’s undeniable that this problem goes hand in hand with poverty, unemployment and ignorance. Until society finds a solution for these other crises, in desperation some people are going to resort to prostitution or the selling of their own daughters, like is happening in Nepal, for some type economic relief. Also we can not forget the big cause of this issue, the greed of the thousand of people who buy, abuse, and manipulate women and children to enter this sick business. As a society we can not do much about this type of persons, each one has their own moral rules, we can try to change them with education but at the end the decision of doing right or wrong is personal. Yet I still have hope that our society is going to improve enough that one day this issue is going to be under control.

We always hear about human trafficing. Yet, somehow, it seems we've gone calloused and look at it as something so detached from our reality. The sad truth is that there are real people out there, people we don't know, who are actually suffering because they are victims either taken forcibly or without consent and are forced to get into sexual acts against their own will. But the bottom line is that these people lose their human rights. I think human trafficing is an organized crime, and the cause of human trafficing is proverty or economic problems. By, not taking any action to this situtation, it will put more women, men, and children at risk of becoming targets.
Human trafficking is travesty to the human race. It deprives people of their human rights. It doesn't matter which god you believe in or even if you believe in one to know that human trafficking is wrong. It is a very sad truth that is going on. The problem is that it is a very profitable and easy operation. It is easier to traffic people than drugs. It is a high profit and low risk operation.

Selling a human being is a violation of personal freedom. Human trafficking is considered a high gross “business industry” because the average yearly income is recorded at 36 billion dollars. This so call “industry” is made simply from the mistreatment of women and children. We don’t think of such issues and are sometimes pulled to the side but its an issue that effects millions of young women everyday. This act of violence can be; verbal or physically. There are studies in which women have been prostitutes which has led them to either been abused, homeless, or previously raped. Human trafficking has gone to extreme cases where women have had broken bones, teeth knocked out, and gone deaf from violence. According to an article by Youth Noise “Human trafficking is the third most profitable criminal activity in the world. The first and second are drug trafficking and arms trafficking.” Making this a crime 3rd to those is a serious case and unfortunately we as a society have done nothing to change this act other than call it “illegal”. In my personal opinion I see this as a crime and disrespect to the women race. The abuse to a human being needs to be fixed, for the sake of our future.

At Matteo: "Couple stay together for years and say i love you, have kids together and they divorce, they need lawyers to communicate, they distroy themselves, for money, for revenge, for hate, for whatever their reason is.. do they ever felt love for them self?
Can we think that they can conceive love? What is love and what is hate? How can you split them if a person can do both , love and hate..."

People at one point in life have common desires... they like each other and YES dude.... they are capable of feeling love for one another because fyi... DEFINITION OF LOVE: In human chemistry, a human chemical reaction is a change in which one or more human molecules or human molecular compounds (the reactants) form a new compound or human molecular structure (the products). This is a modern interpretation, in which people are viewed as molecules, of the older "love the chemical reaction" view of life and romance, in which human interactions are described in mechanistic terms, just as in a standard chemistry textbook. That's some HumanThermoDynamics for you.
Also as you should have learned in Triff's class, who you are now is not who you will be years later or days later or even seconds later because we are changing constantly. We might feel love for someone else but again..... THAT SOMEONE might change with time and the love will/might dissapear. So what if ppl get divorce and treat each other like garbage..... that doesn't change the fact that we are capable of feeling love.

You also said "What is love and what is hate? How can you split them if a person can do both, love and hate...
"

DEFINITIO of hate: To have a great aversion to, with a strong desire that evil should befall the person toward whom the feeling is directed; to dislike intensely; to detest; as, to hate one's enemies; to hate hypocrisy. "Whosoever hated his brother is a murderer." 1 John iii. 15.
Why do you need to split love and hate.... you should have also learned from Triff's class that we humans are simply capable of doing both good and bad. Whatever road you take is what is going to define you as a person BECAUSE you should have also learned in Triff's class that LIFE DOESN'T HAVE A PURPOSE, we give it to it.

and to finish up, you said "We probably we don't have to do anything about the process, because this is the way we are, but we should think differently about what is horror, maybe is not that horrible.."

Sorry dude but what is wrong is simply wrong and there is no way to get around it. We are not made in any specific way, we are brainwashed (should have also learned that from Triff's class,) and that’s why we must change the "process" or who we are because if we do.... we could be better persons. Again, we don’t need to think differently about horror because maybe is not that bad.... there is no way of sugar-coding what wrong/horrible/horror or w/e it is that you are trying to say. Maybe if you were able to apply the GOLDEN RULE of Kantian Theory to w/e definition of Horrible you have... you could see why HORRIBLE IS HORRIBLE and will be forever and ever wrong.

Human trafficking, according to Wikipedia, is the practice of people being tricked, lured, coerced or forced to work with low or no payment or on terms which are highly exploitative.
We can say that slavery is a form of human trafficking and the first records of slavery begin in Sumerian civilization. Since slavery was already practiced by the Sumerians, one of the most ancient human civilizations. We also know that slavery been practiced in all of the civilizations. Slaves used for work, entertainment, war, etc.
Now in the time where a life can be saved with the donation of an organ, innocent lives are lost to organ traffickers who trick individuals in order to drug them and take their organs, sometimes killing the person.
Another, way of human trafficking is the way on how some man kidnap woman and make them prostitute themselves for they to make money.
It is terrible to see how humans abuse others for their own benefit, taking other’s freedom in order to make a profit. Although some might think it is beneficial, it is just using people as a mean to an end, which is to make money. But this just keeps occurring because we are ignorant of what happens around us, and if we know what’s happening, most of us do not do anything to make it change.

I want to start by saying that I firmly believe that all humans are susceptible to corruption. The reason I brought this up in regards to human trafficking is because like everything, morality is relatively subject to change if it’s becomes a social norm to ones society. For example, stealing we are instilled as children that it is wrong, but if so many people steal as a means to make money, due to the fact that there is no way of making it otherwise (to them) then the crime rate will escalate and more people will see it as a normal mean to make quick money. With human trafficking, it is not only extremely wrong but also quite primitive for us living in this day and age. If you want to be a prostitute, its fine by me and I have no problem with that, I could care less. But if you’re being trafficked without consent like children or women in impoverished countries with no respect for women’s rights, then that’s where my discontent begins. It’s extremely wrong and should be frowned upon, but who am I to say? I cannot say what is wrong and right for other societies because I have no say to do so. Were all living in the twenty-first century, you would think we have evolved that much. Some things will never change though, if one woman is not enough or if putting effort to find your own woman is “too hard” then that is just pathetic on your part. It is a very fragile topic and it is ultimately wrong in all forms.

Trafficking of persons exists in two distinct types: labor trafficking and sexual trafficking. Sexual trafficking is accomplished by means of fraud, deception, threat of or use of force, abuse of a position of vulnerability, and other forms of coercion for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation. Worldwide, it is estimated that somewhere between 700,000 and four million women, children and men are trafficked each year, and no region is unaffected. An estimated 14,500 to 17,500 women and children are trafficked into this country each year. Sadly, human trafficking has become the new crime of choice. Interpol announced in February of 2001 that human trafficking generates $19 billion (annually). At present, there are few shelters and limited special funds specifically for
trafficking victims. We can begin to defeat sex trafficking if we severely punish its national and multi-national profiteers, arrest its customers, offer a way out to its prisoners, and create self-respecting economic alternatives for girls and women who are at risk. The question is will we do it?

It is heartbreaking to hear about these atrocities that are going on around the world. It crazy to see how far some people are willing to go for money. People are willing to do anything for it. Like the guy who sold his wife for $ 12. Human trafficking, and child prostitution, how can human go along with such actions? It is an unbelievable but harsh reality. It is sad to read about people that are force into living a terrible life. Some that have no choice, no say. Especially young children. Like that girl who was 13, illiterate and HIV positive. What a life it is to live in fear everyday, to be beaten, treated like an object or sex machine. Slavery, Yes slavery still exist. And The criminals that are influencing and forcing innocent people into prostitution should be punish severely. We need to be aware of things that are going on around us and be careful, this is a cruel world that we are living in. Especially when these things are not only happening overseas but in the US as well. It is really frightening. I really hope for solutions to come up soon. Authorities need to take more actions.

To this day the world struggles with the issue of sex exploitation because the other issues that lead to it haven’t been targeted. The string of issues and perhaps even a pattern within the social and economic factors that influence sex exploitation are the ones that need to be taken care of, so they don’t lead to exposure to the sex industry in the first place. Such pattern usually begins with an individual that comes from a dysfunctional and abusive family, in some cases no family at all, followed by a lack of resources and education, ending with the glamorization of the sex industry by those who are in charge of it. Until we don’t asses the problems issue by issue with education, awareness, a vast of resources, and government intervention the sex exploitation will never cease to exist.
Furthermore, most people are aware that the issues of sex exploitation and human trafficking exist. However, the issues haven’t been presented in an “in your face” manner, repeatedly enough to alienate the self absorbed Twenty-First Century society. Perhaps such approach would drive us do something about it.

Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal problem around the world. It doesn't discrimante race, age, sex or color. In some cases is a person's choice to become a victim, in order to survive or feed their family, like for example prostitution. On the other hand, we have the sex slaves which is not a choice to become one. We also have what is called child labor, which is considered exploitative by many international organizations and is illegal in many countries. In some countries like India, 12.5 percent of the children between the ages of 10 and 14 work, in Nigeria 39% of the children in the age group of 5-14 are involved in child labor. Most of the time many of these children take drugs in order to forget hunger or to work longer hours. There are other types of human trafficking that deals with children, as for example child prostitution which are children that are forced to be sex slaves, in many of these cases children are even killed to have their organs sold in the black market. The government and many international organizations of various countries have all tried to stop human trafficking, as for example the OSCE which is an organization coordinated by the Office of the Special Representative for Combating the Traffic of Human Beings. Many attempts have been successful and many kids and women have been rescued and given help from these problem. Even though the government and these organizations are working hard to put an end to this, human abuse is still a big problem in our society and we all hope it could end soon. MARIA MONZON

Although we, humans, possess the capacity of thinking and reasoning, in many situations we seem disturb by factors such as power, desires, and money. One clear example is human trafficking; because of the factors previously mentioned we have done terrible things to ourselves. Slavery is the most common form of human trafficking, and although slavery is illegal in many places there are still ways of practicing it. There are also other ways of trafficking persons such as women for sex, work, organs traffic and many other making all this a very unbearable business. We define human trafficking as “the practice of people being tricked, lured, coerced or forced to work with no or low payment or on terms which are highly exploitative.” This practice is mainly done on women and children, which in my opinion are the most vulnerable. This is an industry, which is growing really fast globally and if we do not do something about it before it gets to the extremes it could be too late. Although many people talk and criticize the way some people treat other human beings they barely do anything about it. In order for this abhorrent situation to be eliminated we all need to do something at least speak out. The society itself needs to gather and start having conscious of the beastly treatment some people in the world are going through. Some of us think these kinds of treatment are because of society’s religions or customs and we just let this keep happening and do not do anything about it, that is wrong and we need to readjust our minds and try to stop this in the world.

How do they do it? How could someone have the heart to treat women that way! It’s sad how the statistics of human trafficking exists in large amount worldwide. This issue is not very well addressed to the world, and it’s a message that needs to spread to stop the violation of human right such as prostitution. Many young female are taken as sex slaves each day. How could we put a stop to it? Some of them are even taking away, raped, killed, and have their organs sold. Some people have tried to act on this crisis, and they were able to rescue some of the victims. I think the government should take a stronger role to protect them and their rights.
Moreover, since that content of this reality is so cruel, people find it hard to believe or take it under major consideration. What should be done is to track down whoever is practicing this violation, and have them pay for the damages they’ve caused against their victims. Hopefully more actions will be taken by governments around the world to decrease the issue and save many lives.

Human trafficking has to be one of the most despicable business practices in the world. It is not only de-humanizing to those whose reality it is that but it takes the humanity out of the equation; it puts those who profit from it into a category lower than the animals. It is just as terrible as the sexual exploitation of women. How can a society call itself civilized if it does nothing to end this modern-day slavery? How dare a society call itself just if it allows for this practice to remain and dares to sweep it under the proverbial rug? Any society that allows human trafficking to persist for sexual exploitation of women and children or for the harvesting of organs or for any other reason does not deserve to call itself ethical, upstanding, or lawful. This practice tends to be occult; again swept under the proverbial rug. Instead, it should be exposed and reveled as the sinful depravity that it is. As members of the human race we should protect the defenseless not exploit them by trafficking for a devil’s profit.

Human trafficking is the third largest and fastest growing criminal industry in the world. Many are kidnapped or even lured (including women, children, and even men) into a prostitution organization, some with hopes of better lives as promised by recruiters. In any case, I believe the kidnapping of any person who is then used as a sex-puppet, is beyond wrong. These acts continue to happen all over our world of today, such as Japan, Thailand, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. To put an end to human trafficking would be a farfetched idea to hope for, because as humans, I feel we are greedy, money craving beasts who will selfishly corrupt a child's innocence by sending them into the prostitution business, for their own means of income, as still seen today. I feel this to be a severe crime.
Although, I believe a woman who is a single parent, who for one reason or another cannot attain a steady job and therefore at times, prostitutes herself in order to make money, is okay. At the end of the day, she needs to feed her child and make sure this child has his/her basic daily needs. In this life, you do what you have to do to survive for yourself and your offspring. I believe in that situation, prostitution is.."understandable", as much as the idea disgusts me.
All in all, human trafficking should be acknowledged, (especially in foreign countries) as a legit crime which must finally come to an end.

We all, at least those of us with ethics and moral values, believe that sex trafficking is just a disgusting act. Sex trafficking, forcing someone to sell themselves for money, physically and mentally abusing them, depriving them of their right to live a decent free life completely goes against what many people fought to obtain, RIGHT TO FREEDOM. It always revolves around the fact that some people are still enslaving others because their self-worth is “greater” and have more power over these women and children, so they aren’t worth having some sort of humility or compassion towards them. On the other hand there’s also prostitution, where many, if not most, do it as a mean to survive and probably provide for their families and so on. I think these people shouldn’t be counted as criminals, as if they’re doing this for themselves, without really having this abusing pimp telling what to and what not do.
With no one really bringing up the issue out to the general public, most will never be aware of this crime committed in so many countries and the government hasn’t taken enough of a drastic step to help with this matter. Even though many have successful, there are still a number of women and children needing help to escape from this.

Human trafficking is completely immoral and another form of slavery. You would think that in modern age this kind of slavery wouldn’t exist but it is actually very common and happening throughout the world. Countries like Europe and the United States are common places for human trafficking with annual revenue between $5 billion and $9 billion dollars. According to online news there are over 2.5 million people being trafficked from over 127 countries. These people include women and children. Women and children are exposed to violence, sexual abuse; both physical and psychological, drugs and even murder. They are forced to work as sex slaves and in many cases children are put to work in child pornography. This is definitely something that shouldn’t exist especially now in age. Making money out of someone’s own misery is monstrous and completely the opposite of how a human being should be with another human being. It is difficult to believe this is really going on and that it is a business that is growing.

We are in the year 2009, soon to be 2010, and despite our huge technological advances and our many dreams and goals for a bright and peaceful future, we are still plagued with old, corrupt ideals that go against moral standards. Human trafficking is one such example. This common form of slavery is practiced in numerous countries around the globe, including the United States itself. Although usually kept "under the table", this is an issue we can no longer ignore. Human trafficking has now become one of the fastest-growing criminal industries in the world. It goes against everything we stand for as a country and as a race of moral individuals. Standing idly by, while this is happening right under our noses makes us just as bad as the pimps and johns and organizations who force women and children into this. The least we can do is let others know. Knowledge is power and at least letting other people become aware of what is happening will do more than ignoring the issue completely because its too ugly and "inhuman" to endure.

Human Trafficking has been going on for centuries. It is a man made oppression created to enslave women and young children,1 out of 2 are under the age of 18. Theses young girls are often used as sex slaves or sold into prostitution and the young child are used for harsh labor. These people are subject to horrific leaving circumstances similar to the living conditions our cattle are subject to on farms. The Human Trafficking industry is a worldwide multi-billion dollar industry and it is a fast growing pandemic. There has been large scales of cases reported in Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, and the United States. This industry is degrading women and children because they are being force to commit atrocious act against their own will. They are loured by promises of a better life and a chance to work and provide for their families, but little do they know that their signing themselves into an industry of modern day slavery!

Human trafficking
The demand for trafficking a human being hasn’t been as high as it used to be decades ago. However, in today’s society it is still present. We are not perfect. We can make a mistake and learn from it. So why are we still trafficking woman, children? Is it their last resort? The answer may vary on the situation. In the end, it all links for an exchange of currency. Some women are just obsessed by the quick cash and how fast they can it. Disregarding their self-esteem, integrity and families, they will do what they have to do. I believe that this is just a result on how a person was raised and brought up to become what others want and not what he or she desires. As you say, “not all your desires are yours”.

Human trafficking is the most despicable thing a human being can do onto another. There are various situations of human trafficking but the most common are prostitution and slavery. Women are taken and sexually exploited for the pleasure of men; in Third World countries this is the way to show men are better than women. It seems like something of this sort should not be happening in the 21st century. I believe the reason why is still around is because although is a horrible thing it does bring profits. It is happening in our own backyards, in the first world, we have brothels and it even happens at truck stops throughout the country. Many are underage girls whom are kidnapped and kept isolated until they are forced to sell themselves not to anger their kidnappers.
At the begin of this year a movie came out that is called “taken” it is related to human trafficking in Europe, where the daughter of former agent is kidnapped with her best friend and he has 96 hours to find her before there is chance of finding her.
As for forced labor, It happens everywhere, yes even in the United States, people who are sold to big companies here in return of some money and benefits, yet they do not think of the people who are being sold, they receive little benefits and little money, they do not know any better, they are threatened to work under the company's rule or they will be sent back to their country, where the situation is worst.

Human trafficking and the exploitation of women is a crime that exist around the world. I feel that as long as poverty exist, these kinds of crime will make way into peoples lives. For example, women trafficking and the prostitution of women are most common among the country that has the highest poverty rate like in the middle east. Also, these are the country that are strong on religion and view women as nothing but care giver and producers. Giving women more of their deserving human right can cause a decline in these types of crime. If the government of these country actually cared about these women, they would have made laws that would protect them or give them help when they need it to escape such crime. Education can also plays a major role in preventing these crime against women. I don't even think that the men that are doing these things to women understand the level of these crime. Men are to blame for these crime because they place so much value on material things such as money over these women lives. The United state government also has to play its role in trying to reach world peace.

In 1865, the United States adopted the 13th amendment to the Constitution that stated neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, nor any place subject to their jurisdiction. Now in the 21st century, The United States of America is principally a transit country for trafficking in persons. It is estimated that 14,500 to 17,500 people, primarily women and children, are trafficked in the U.S. annually. According to online sources, Human trafficking is the practice of people being tricked, lured, coerced or forced to work with no or low payment or on terms which are highly exploitative. How is it possible that we still have that going on today in the 21st century. I think the answer is sample, money. Slave traffickers have discovered how profitable it is to buy and sale people. It is sort of shocking to here the numbers of people that are being sold in the United States yearly. The United States is one of the richest countries in the world. Human trafficking should not be occurring in this country. In my native country Haiti, human trafficking also exists. Haiti is the poorest country in the western atmosphere; it is less surprising to here about these sorts of crimes over there then here. Bottom of the line is human trafficking is wrong, as to why does it still exist in the 21st century because of money and money is what makes the world goes around.

I believe we still have exploitation issues in the 21st century simply because “sex sells”. The sex industry is one of the oldest and most profitable industries in the world. It’s an easy way to make fast money, despite the fearing and wellbeing of the people involve in it. In the society we live in today sex is every where. It is prived and glorified, but there are not many set rules and regulations that the government can enforce once you are in the privacy of your own home or anywhere you decide to engage in sexual activities. The government cannot tell you what to do your with your body. I also think it’s a lack of education that we have about sex, when we are actually taught about sex and who teaches us about sex. I feel the better equipped you are for life the less you will feel the need to sexually exploit yourself, but that’s not always the case. The way the media support sexual exploitation is crazy, but at the end of the day sex still sells and sex will always sell and as long as there is human desire there will always be sex.

Human Trafficking
To begin with, no one in their right mind would like to be a victim of human trafficking. The situation has been getting worst and spreading around the world. Having to force someone against their will and moral rights is unacceptable. In other words human trafficking is wrong and is vary, it comes in many forms such as prostitution or slavery. To think that there are people out there selling lives is still happening in this century. Many people are still living in the past. If we fell strong about this we should take more action and enforce the law a little more. To read that babies are also victim of this is madness. What is worst is that women are the most sought out victims for them. They are deprive of their own free will and it shows disrespect toward women. “Human Trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world, with the total annual revenue for trafficking in persons estimated to be between USD $5 billion and $9billion."

Human trafficking has always been a huge issue and not much has been done against it. As a matter of fact, it is the fastest growing business in the world. Probably, those who should avoid such to happen are not really doing what they are supposed to do. Maybe, there are just more people in “favour” than against. The only thing that I can easily say is that there is too much money around this business to stop it. I think there are more people that gain profit from human trafficking than people that are against it and until this is the case, nothing can be done to stop human trafficking. When I think of people treated as means, human trafficking is the first thing that comes in my head because it is the best example of how people are used for an end: money.

Human trafficking is quite possibly one of the most horrific crimes that human beings are capable of because it deals with controlling other humans and treating them as mere objects for financial gain. Human trafficking is not only slavery, it's sexual slavery. In other words, human trafficking entails treating other people as means to an end. Inevitably, it is a crime that knows no boundaries, and it affects people all over the world. Many individuals can argue that it's merely business-like, but it's much more than that. What these people fail to see is that there are moral and ethical limits; they completely disregard the fact that these humans deserve respect and freedom. However, the most important question that needs to be answered is: "Why do we struggle with these horrible issues in the 21st century?" The fact of the matter is that human trafficking, like rape, is a crime of power. Unfortunately, even in this day and age, there are many perverse and power-hungry people in the world.
