Prostitution is a tremendous issue that represents a problem without eradication. Adults have the free will to decide, however we know that all our desires are not ours. People that decide to enter in this life are victims of economic, social, or personal problems. The 80% of women in prostitution have been rape. Prostitution leads to drugs, crime, and other factors that turns these people lives into a bad dream. In addition, children are real victims of this problem. Almost all children who are facing prostitution come from broken homes. The worst part of this topic is the part in which children get involved. The innocence that all children have the right to enjoy, is just a short time visitor in these children’s lives. A estranger that shows them that life does not have any hope or freedom. Children that live on the streets are victims of criminal activities such as drugs and prostitution. Also, they suffer hunger, cold, and a totally lack of education and love. Sexual illnesses is also a problem that they face and kill them. This man from Miami who had twelve girls working for him as prostitutes is not better than those who directly abuse them. This criminal manipulated them looking for his best interest using them as an end. Even though the police has tried to eliminate prostitution, this business continues growing. It represents the devastation of those people who decide to form part of this dark and condemned world, the world of prostitution.

Human trafficking and prostitution around the world has increased dramatically in some way by the easiness to pay for sex around the corner. This socioeconomic phenomenon is one of the biggest threats for women in the 21st century. Colombia is one of those third world countries in which women are kidnapped daily and sent abroad to USA, European, and Caribbean countries as drug addicted sex slaves. Consensual prostitution in designated areas is legal but the fact is that Colombians don’t have to go abroad to see this how their women are being mistreated. Cartagena, a Spanish façade city known for its marvelous cite seeing and night life is one of the most popular destinations for men in search of cheap and excellent sex, alcohol and drugs. A budget that would make no sense for vacations in Miami, the Caribbean or Europe is enough to cover the costs in Cartagena. This is one of the main reasons why nearly 35k young teens are exploited in the country. Taking into account the guerrilla war that has been going on over the past decades we know officially that women are being sent to camps and negotiation areas to provide those involved in the war with sexual pleasures. These women are not paid and most of them left pregnant to die in the conflicts harsh conditions. Women are treated as disposable semen recipients. Further more, we are aware that the tactics used by thieves and pimps to lure women into their traps range from “beauty pageants”, to modeling castings and free vacation packages which eventually turn to be these girl’s ticket to hell. I had a personal experience in which two of my friends were almost fooled by a guy in Paris who resulted to be one of the thieves we are talking about. They were smoothly approached by a young looking guy in one of the city’s clubs and were presented a proposal to get paid for a photo shoot of a known brand of women perfumes and accessories. He gave them an address and a rendezvous’ date. Fortunately and thank to God the man and his organization were caught the day after in the same club by undercover agents from the French police who were tracking him down for some time. They were Colombians as well as my friends and I. I could not believe a fellow citizen to be capable of doing so. We have to be aware and careful everyday because we never know what are the desires and plans of people around our cities.

why does human trafficing and prostitution still exist today? To answer this question, one must first examine the symptoms then explain why these symptoms occur.it is no secret that trafficing of men and women is still very much alive. The thirst for sexual pleasure and absolute power over and individual is still very relevant. It is queched by the men, women and children smuggled in by underground operations.
80% of women in prostitution have been a victim of a broken home and rape. We still countless cases of incompitent parents and violence in the home. We still have rapists roaming the streets kidnapping and raping women. 68-70% of prostitutes are being raped eight to ten times a year. This just shows the sensation and exitement of molesting women looked apon as property is to this day very pleasurable to certain people. You will find the numbers on sexual and prostitution to be very high were social evils greatly exist. Envirnment plays a big part to why this phenomenon still exist when you incorperate it with my previous argument. It is the tigger to acts that lead to massive international slave shipping. We still those types of people and those types of envirnmentals today and that's why it still exists.

Human trafficking made of sex exploitation is not an issue new to the world. It has existed since many years ago at the Roman Empire era ranging from sexual slaves until becoming a commercial sex industry nowadays. Among a long list we can cite adult and child pornography, street prostitution, strip clubs and video or internet pornography. Moreover, this embarrassing sex industry is very alarming when we know that it is mainly sex exploitation against women. The traffickers take many forms to lure innocents in this type of activity that is only lucrative to them. They are sometimes protectors, agents of charitable association, sometimes business owners who hire selective employees. They do not stop in front of any moral value concern up to be shaken by societal ethical issues. Instead they continue to make huge profit at the expenses of those who entered the sex industry blindly or against their will. What is worst of all comes from the fact that about 80% of women in prostitution have not only been raped, but physically assaulted. As a result the victims are traumatized and show signs of stress disorders. Needless to say that many of them endure health problems due partly to the mistreatment received. In Istanbul they reported that police broke the ribs of many women in prostitution. Sometimes, by attempting to escape a scene of kidnapping, they end up having hips or teeth broken if they are not knocked out by pimps or johns. All in all, sex exploitation is something to stop. Because it hurts mainly women that become easy preys for predators when they run away from their family’s home, when they are being pimped by boyfriends or because they are homeless or because they need to pay some tuition in college. It is not the problem of some countries or some continents. It is a challenge for the whole world including developed and underdeveloped countries. Together with enforced laws to protect women against sex exploitation, ethical values need to be kept up and safeguarded.

There is no questionable doubt that Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking as a means of pleasure is iniquitous. This problem persists even in the 21st century, in our own back yard; the primary question is why society has allowed this?

Historically, women have always been viewed, treated, and even disregarded as second class citizens, along with slaves in the Declaration of the Rights of Men. The United States Constitution, neglected to provide the same equal rights to women until years after the constitution was amended.
Most women, who form part of this hidden and unspoken faction most commonly found as prostitution, pornography, sexual slavery along others are victims of previous sexual abuse or often shattered homes. They may consider that they are practicing free will but statistics show that their psychological distress often links them within the sexual exploitation thus no free will. For example a kidnapping case and/or human trafficking of a woman or child, there is no free will, they simply have to adapt for their mental well being.

When women, who work as prostitutes where asked whether they wanted to continue as such, 90% answered that they wanted to leave. In my opinion it is the psychological distress that causes women to become part of such a malicious cycle often being viewed as sexual property.

In regards to the expoitation of women, there is no question that it is wrong. But why is it still occuring in the 21st century? In order to answer this, one must analyze multiple aspects of the how and why this exploitation is being manifested in todays world. Prostitution and human trafficking in todays world happens all over the globe, but why? The answer can be found in history, as far back as the ancient greek, where prostitution is already evident. Were talking more than one thousand years ago, the greeks used the word prostitute; porne. But why is prostitution and the exploitation of women still a part of our society? It is evident further in history, prostitution is known as the oldest job for a woman. Also, feminists in 18th century europe history had argued at the time that because prostitution should be illegal, that the government shouldnt regulate that which pertains to it. You could also argue that prostitution is still widely accepted. Pornography, whose root word porn comes from the greek word for prostitute, is a widely accepted form of prostitution. Prostitution, which depending the circumstances can be viewed as either exploitation or not, has led to further extents such as human trafficking. Something so terrible is shocking to think of in a civilized society, yet being that it is a reality, we see that there is a demand for such. And as such, the reason for why we still suffer from these problems i think, is because of the people who see others as ends to their means. If a woman wants to sell her body, its up to her. But when you force someone to do something that they dont want to, you are taking away their human rights and free will.

Human traffic has increase notable during these last year. Every day the news shows evidence of these terrible acts and the victims that suffer awfully in this action. Terrible acts are exposed in many ways as prostitution, drug addition, and relapse under several ages. First, victims are people from several ages and they are treated as slaves. These victims usually are kidnapping or sometimes they are deceived from people without scruple who only thing in the ambition of easy money. The majority of these victims (girls) are under age of eighteen who are kidnapped from diverse cities of the world. Second, some time the way they are capture end in dead or in horrible health condition. For instance, some of them are sick or while time passed they develop a sicknesses for the different social problems they are exposed. Finally, the suffers always passed a terrible psychological behavior while they are first time experience the situation of prostitution that always relapse in alcohol, drugs, and many other social problems. Statistics always show a big increase of women and girls that are being disappear and they are found dead or as a part of the prostitution network. In conclusion, for many years the human traffic has been one of the worst social problem in the world, but nowadays this problem has take a huge impact and raise in several ways as prostitution, drug addition, and some others trouble.

It is hard to believe that in this modern era we still face the age old problems of human trafficking and prostitution, and to make matters worse these evils have adapted, evolved and become more sophisticated and commonplace. To put it simply, human trafficking is the trade or commerce in people, it can take many forms and serve different purposes with the most notable being for prostitution and forced labor. In order to fully consider the ethical issues at play it is beneficial to look at the situation as a chain of events from its source (supply), to the transporters (human traffickers) and eventual sale/consumption (demand).
Firstly, before casting judgement one must study the individuals being exploited. These women (and sometimes men) fall into two groups, the willing and unwilling. The willing are usually driven by their desire for a better life/higher standard of living, while the the unwilling includes individuals who were kidnapped, mislead, cohersed, or otherwise forced into partaking in the illegal activities. These people often come from impoverished homes, with low social status and struggle just to get by. Many of these individuals are also often victims of past abuse which can cause them to become detached and lose respect for themselves, which makes them more prone to enter into a life of prostitution.
Now I know this is a controversial point to make but, I do not consider it unethical for a person of reasonably sound logic to willingly choose to engage in a sexual activity, illegal or not. As long as that person has a choice and engaged in prostitution based on free will. For example one can argue (and this argument is commonly used by prostitutes) that a person has the right to do what they please with their body and receiving money for sex is no different than receiving other benefits that regular people get/expect in return for sexual favors. This theory obviously will not apply to unwilling participants or those of unsound reasoning and logic, as such individuals do not have the ability to choose or exercise free will. This practice is extremely unethical since these individuals are often treated like any other commodity, such as meat, and are not given the basic rights that every subject of life is entitled to, such as the right not to be owned. These people are often repeatedly raped and abused and forcefully assigned owners (‘pimps’), which further serves to strip them of their rights.

At first glance these traffickers and pimps seem to be the most unethical and deserve the brunt of the disdain, though this is true such is not always the case. For example, the willing participant looking for a better standard of living is easily attracted to the glamour and money of prostitution, which all come from the traffickers. It is not hard to see how so many people make the decision to leave a life of poverty and suffering behind to live in a sky-rise in Miami, drive a Lexus and have money for lifes luxuries. Now such a process would be hard to do alone, especially since most of the people who come cant even afford a plane ticket, transportation or rent, far-less find safe clientele, and thats where the pimps come in. These “entrepreneurial pimps” arrange all these amenities for the prostitutes, make sure the they are well taken care of and manage the demand aspect in exchange for a commission of their fare, as is the case with the Miami Pimp. In this scenario the prostitutes are not forced into labor and this may actually make the pimps be considered ethical. I say the pimps can be viewed as ethical because from their point of view they are actually protecting the prostitute and ensuring her a safe way to conduct business whereas if she was alone her chances of survival are slim. However this is the exception to the rule since most women trafficked for prostitution are unwilling, making the pimps and traffickers extremely unethical and second to the devil himself. In this situation the prostitutes are continuously mistreated, raped, beat, and often have their entire fare taken by the pimps. To make matters worse the living conditions for this group is often a lot worse than the willing group since they have no choice or free will. These pimps will continue to use unwilling girls as a commodity until they are sold or die, escape from that life is rarely an option. Even the once willing girls often end up being abused and become unwilling sometimes.
The most important aspect of the chain is its end, the demand, these are the customers. Firstly it is important to note that without demand, the industry will not be sustainable. The ethical issues of demand as strongly tied to free will as well. For example if a customer knows that his prostitute is unwilling (or not acting of free will) and he chooses to continue it would be considered completely unethical, however if it is a situation that features a willing prostitute I believe he would be of ethical reasoning to continue if he pleases. This is where the grey area and most trouble of determining right and wrong comes about. The trouble lies is a philosophical debate that has lasted many years, it is the debate of knowingness. For example, in the majority of cases the customer cannot determine if the prostitute is acting of free will or not, the question is wether this would still be considered ethical, and I believe it would not. I believe so because if one partakes knowing that they cannot assertion free will it is just as bad a the case of the unwilling.
At the end of this spectrum, I believe the ethical issues can only be defined on a case by case basis in this industry, or based on the presence of free will and the other discussed factors (cohesion, economic status, etc). The problem lies in the fact that ethics are not universal. Many persons are forced to make choices in this industry, wether right or wrong, and as with any other place in life there are persons whose morals and values are different, degraded, or non existent, and then there are persons who will strive to make the most ethical decision possible, both not noticing the impact such choices have on their lives or the lives of others..

Human trafficking is the second largest organized crime in the world. It is estimated about 2 million are children and the majority of them are girls who are sexually exploited in multibillion of dollars. Traffickers take advantage of the poverty levels of many women and children in recruiting and luring them into the traffic industry. For instance, women may enter voluntarily but be deceived as to the conditions under which they would be forced to work twenty four hours a day, receiving little pay and being forced to tolerate physical abuse. Even Parents or friends may sell a child or woman for employment in return for cash. However, the women and children rarely ever see any of the profits. Women and children are deceived by recruiters who gain their trust and promise a higher paying job somewhere else. Some victims are taken to brothels where they live in filthy, dark and overcrowded not able to sleep through the night or day because clients arrive at all hours. Food is provided irregularly. They are forced to receive clients regardless of whether they are sick or menstruating; they suffer physical abuse, skin irritations, headaches, fevers, and all forms of sexually transmitted diseases. There are brothels which are considered upper class level but still don’t change much of their way of living but only their appearances. One of the reasons that causes human trafficking is poverty but still it is heartening and it doesn’t justify for doing such a cruel thing.

This topic is a difficult one. It hurts my head. Child prostitution is despicable. Who creates this situation? No child should ever wind up in this situation. But i would like to focus more on the "Cheated of Childhood - Russia" video i saw.

This video is very sobering. The world is changing for the younger generation nowadays. Homeless children since always, forced into horrific ways of survival. How can a country with so much wealth have so much poverty? It could only come down to government incompetence, i think.
But i think the problem lies deeper in alcoholism in families and financial distress. Children left homes far from the capital to escape the poverty or their violent parents. Experts say the situation is the result of a decade of transition that has stripped the country of its Soviet-era social and family welfare systems. "The problem of
homeless children has grown so acute in recent years that Russian President Vladimir Putin in January called on the government to take action and find a
solution to the growing number of street children." But by the obvious situation in the video, i think that the situation has yet to improve.

It's a pity...People think they have so much control over the world, and they are wrong. So very wrong.

The Palermo Protocol defines human trafficking as the "recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation." Human trafficking has said to be the fastest rising epidemic the world has seen in the past decade. Billions of dollars are being transferred around the world for due to women and small children's expense.
In countries like Brazil, due to the economic struggles they are facing, young women are forced into prostitution to help support their families and more are starting each day. Brazil Has one of the worst problems in child prostitution and it is actually one of the most favored destination for pedophiles in search of sex with young women as early as nine and ten years old! It is amazing to hear of the numbers of female prostitution in many cities of Brazil, and many reach the hundreds of thousandths. With about 1.7 million dollars contributed by the government to relief sexual exploitation in young children, the sex tourism in Brazil is extremely high and seemingly impossible to control due to the high demand of this service.
What makes this battle so much more difficult is that behind it stand the wealth and power of rich business europeans. They are arranging the smuggling of these women usually convincing them that they will have a better life for themselves as well as for their families. They marry europeans in search of a better life and a chance to leave their country as long as their struggles. It is sad to say that it is quite the opposite in many cases and women are usually kept as "love slaves" and mentally powerless to achieve their original goals of freedom.

“Human trafficking” is an awful, beyond imaginable, disgusting form of trading human beings and their use by criminals to make money. That means forcing or tricking people into prostitution, begging, or manual labor.

It is estimated that 27 million people all over the world are trafficked every year. The majority are young women who are forced into slavery/prostitution.

For instance in Europe, girls and young women are particularly at risk from criminals who promise good jobs and or free studies and then force into prostitution. The criminals profit while the girls and women suffer rape and other physical and mental violence.

Human trafficking/prostitution is so common now that it's the third most profitable criminal activity in the world after illegal drugs and arms trafficking.

The traffickers, pimps and the people who are involved in this sort of business takes away the basic human rights of their victims which are: the freedom to move, to choose, to control their body and mind, and ultimately to control their future.

It is easy to confuse trafficking with smuggling. A smuggler will facilitate illegal entry into a country for a fee, but on arrival at their destination, the smuggled person is free; the trafficking victim is enslaved.

Facts:

As many as 500,000 people are trafficked in Europe every year, the majority are women and girls who are forced into prostitution – “US State Department”

80% of victims trafficked across international borders are female and 70% of those women and girls are trafficked for sexual exploitation – “US State Department”

Alarming studies show that between $7-13 billion a year is made from trafficking worldwide.

Why should we be concern?

Because:

- Human trafficking, prostitution, or forcing a minor or anyone for this matter to sell their body against their own will is just simply WRONG - it is the most shocking form of violation of human rights. Most of us think that slavery was a thing of the past well, it is happening now, here and all over the world.

It is absolutely disgusting to realize how great the pornography business has grown since the times when pornography was just someone’s dirty little secret. The pornography business is one of the biggest money making businesses in the world, so big in fact that many people want to get a piece of this money, which has lead to the growth of human trafficking.
Statistics show that the average amount of money that is spent on porn just within the United States is 10 billion dollars a year! The worst part is that a lot of this porn comes from overseas and the people purchasing these videos have no idea that these aren’t porno actresses and actors but it is the actual rape of victims being caught on tape and others are actual sex slaves. This disease of sex infested societies are becoming worse and spreading quickly leading to an increase in not only STDs but unfortunately prostitution and human trafficking. It seems as though treating a women with respect and falling in love to have sex is becoming just a mire memory.

While sex trafficking is definitely very prevalent in poorer Asian countries, it is very common in the USA, Canada and other developed nations too. One of the most common trafficking ploys is the trafficker offering the victim an illegal job to work as a waitress in the USA. Sadly, many fall for it and end up being forced into prostitution instead. Very often, victims of trafficking continue to do what they’re doing because they’re afraid of the authorities finding out they’re illegal immigrants and being deported. So a Thai girl in Japan or even the Russian girl who goes to America do not want to report anything, even if they have a chance because they have been convinced by the traffickers that illegal immigrants get no help. This is not true. Trafficking is a crime and irrespective of your immigration status, most countries are willing to help the victims and get others out of the situation too. I remember watching a Spanish show how people were being trick to go work in other countries to teach English and what they did not know was that they were going over there to work as prostitute. The money they were making barely made some money for them. They had to give this people almost all the money some of them got to get away other die trying. 80% percent are women and 50% percent are children this is ashamed but what it is ashamed that in the USA is happening also. The truth is it could happen to almost anyone, in any part of the world. However, the key is to stay cautious and use your common sense when interacting with anyone online. If you are travelling overseas, make sure you family know all the details about who you’re going to meet and where you will be staying etc. www.catwinternational.org.

Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking does not discriminate. It can be virtually found in any country. With men and women of any race and background. It is a shame that in today's world we can still find this horrible crime caused by government corruption and social crisis in the world nations.

All men and women on this Earth should be free and have equal rights. It is incomprehensible to me how in this century, human rights are violated. People are still enslaved, exploited, sexually abused and demoralized through human trafficking. This is not acceptable and it is up to all human race to stop this crime on its track.

A common examle of this crime are how some illegal immigrants are treated upon arrival to the U.S. Patrons will often confiscate passports and other documents to keep workers on a leash. These workers live in eternal fear of being accused or imprisoned. They would work in inhumane envioroments for little or no wages.

Another example to human trafficking that occur in many countries, are the abductions of young girls with the intend to exploit them sexually. Young girls are exploited in countries like Costa Rica and Brazil. The thought of this makes me sick to my stomach.

Lives are being shattered. The "human" word in this crime is pure sarcasm. I hope that all nations unite to battle this atrocity.

Prostitution, child sex slaves, and human trafficking are horrible crimes against humanity that still occur in this century. Unnecessary evils in the world like this persist for the most common materialistic reason, cash money. In the numerous statistics that are provided through news reports , internet web sites, commercials, movies and etc. Greed seems to always seep through the lines. Sex sells and that is the undeniable truth. In the movie “Taken” ,as the father of the young kidnapped woman is being dangled from the pipe, the man who auctioned off his daughter explains how the selling of these young victims is a business of discretion in which all sales are final and nothing is personal. Even though this is an actor in a movie stating words like that, it is a fact. People will do unethical things for money. Greedy culprits ripping children and adults out of any form or normalcy and pushing them to reach sexual obscenities with other unknown people because ” the money is good” is what drives this sick evil into our modern day.

Why is there human trafficking and prostitution still going on in the Twenty-First century? It is a very perplexing subject in which researches have collected a vast amount of information. Though we can run through numerous amounts of reason why this is occuring in this day and age, we need to look at the obvious element of this dilema. The current state of the nations economy stands out as most inlfuential factor in this day and age. In a time when it becomes difficult to even get employed at your local fast food restaurant, it is easy to understand why women, men, or transgenders are beggining to seek fo r a rapid solution for there financial struggles and that is prostitution of course. Thats not to downplay the alarming rise of illegal drug distribution, or piracy, but it is disturbing when it becomes the a resurgence. Some women might say that exposing there bodies to complete strangers, or working as escorts is not morally incorrect, the fact of the matter is that it is becoming somewhat socially acceptable in recent years. Other reseaons explaining the reemrgence of this act are because of drug addictions, and the constant rise of pregnancy rates, but the economy is the main reason of such acts still occuring in our times.

After watching these videos there’s only one answer for the reason that child sex trafficking and human trafficking in general still occur today. The societies and governments in which these appalling acts are blatantly known and accepted are what is at fault. The children explain no one cares for them, and no one has their well being at heart, and I agree. The social workers come and interview the children with no real options and even admit they see no future for these kids outside of prisons and living “street lives”. We can all agree how terrible this is and the horrors of the world seem to have no end, yet there is no real action being taken to discourage or abolish any of this. As one report said the main clientele are wealthy men from other countries like America, England and France. America being a superpower in the world should be stepping in, yet underneath it all we are financially backing and perpetuating these horrors. Funding support for the gangsters that have over taken many eastern European countries and have made this buying and selling of girls the biggest trade industry these countries have ever seen.
With so many children being kidnapped into this trade, and so many others finding their way to it because of broken homes, and poverty, one has to ask, what other option do these kids truly have? In no way do I condone using Children especially as a means to an end for money, but as Hugo Gonzalez was somewhat of an only and last resort for the women he took in and “cared” for, so these brothels are for these young girls. The majority when given the opportunity to leave the trade often do not, or as in several of the videos showed would go to a shelter for Only a matter of hours to days and return to the streets again.
The countries in which child sex trafficking is most prevalent tend not to consider women’s rights, and tend to have a more traditional culture in the sense that the options for a young woman growing up are few and far between outside of becoming a mother. These societies are still oppressed and uneducated; I believe this is the Most important factor contributing to the incidence of child sex trafficking today. This problem cannot and will not be changed or abolished until these countries become more educated, it easy to oppress an uneducated person and even easier if that person is a child, an impressionable blank slate not even given the chance to flourish. The governments of these countries need to realize that this generation of “Street children” will soon become a part of society and if left to their own means will more than likely become a burden and debt within their own society, certainly not helping the socioeconomic problems these countries already face.
There appears to be a loss of integrity with all those involved in this ongoing lascivious epidemic of child sex trafficking. As several of the girls said, the police are the ones who get involved too, coming around for ____jobs and other sexual acts. Even Mayors and other publicly elected officials are known to partake in what child sex trafficking offers. If those with the authority to make change are the ones funding it how can change ever really occur? The exploitation of these kids occurs with almost no consequences, and until that changes it appears the kids are doomed to live this way. Society has really taken a turn for the worst if issues like child sex trafficking are allowed and encouraged in some countries by the families saying “she makes more in one night on the street than she ever could with an education.” Whether it is true or not isn’t what makes that statement so disgusting it’s that it is spoken by the parents of a young girl who encourage their daughter to sell her body for a better life. Until we can restore our [the worlds] integrity and some respect for human life this cannot and probably will not change and continue to get worse.

Human trafficking with out a second guess is horrific. My views on trafficking is that it is extremely wrong. No one should be held against there will to perform acts that they don't want to. Especally something so low down and dirty. many humans are obligated to desgrace themselves to accomadate the needs of someone else who will gain from it financial and enjoyment.Human prostitution and prostitution has alot to do with alot of circumsatnces that are a big problem in society. Such as proverty, lack of employment, and other problems that arising. Many trafficked adults and children areat the hands of aggressive people. Women and children are especially vulnerable victims of trafficking. Trafficking leaves thevictim beliving there is no other option. Some people believe that slavery and being held against your will are acts of the past and believe that people can easily exscape if they want to but, its no that easy. If it was that was why 92% want to escape prostitution but havent. Its a dispicable and dangerous act that is being portrayed and done in communities, homes, public strret, everywhere, and need to be stoped

Sexual trafficking is accomplished by means of fraud, deception, abuse and other forms of coercion. In my opinion, human trafficking is overall a tragic consequence of poverty.
Women and children from third world countries are the target of choice. Young girls from broken homes are lured into the US with false promises of a better life and once here they face tremendous psychological and physical abuse that many of them will never recover from.
Present-day slavery has been banned around the world. So how is it that this phenomenon has expanded into a multi-billion dollar global industry?
We are a society that pursues immediate gratification and sex is not an exemption to the rule. Society demands sex and supply must be met. This is a profitable business that many take part on due to the weak international response to such problem.
Raising awareness helps, however action must be taken by government to protect the victims and to recognize and implement severe punishment for the masterminds behind this ever-growing social issue.

It's a fact that women of all age groups and ethnic backgrounds, all over the world have been victims of sexual exploitation.Things from stripping at a night club to prostituting on a street corner. In some cases these girls are brought from different countries and are promised freedom and a better life in the United States.Once they are smuggled to the U.S.A., they are forced to sell there bodies for profit.A lot of these girls are beaten and threaten, they have to make a certain amount of money on a daily basis...If not these female can end up dead. Many want to get out, but feel hopeless and are terrified. It's happening more often and just about in every continent. You even have doctor's and teacher's traveling overseas to purchase young women to commit sexual acts.Sex sells, money feeds therefore this is not an issue that will be resolved any time soon...

In my opinion, I believe that human trafficking and prostitution is still an issue that we, as a society, continue to struggle with today because of ignorance. I had absolutely no knowledge of this notorious sex industry and most importantly HOW they terrorize these women. I have to be honest; I did not understand why any woman would choose this lifestyle for the exception of one having an alcohol or drug addiction which spirals out of control.
Just for the sake of argument, in the case of the whore house here in Miami, the victims were very different than the victims in the other cases such as in Japan, Nepal and South Africa in the sense that they weren't in fear of their life and they weren't kidnapped. Nevertheless, I am not justifying Hugo Gonzalez's actions because he did commit a crime and manipulated these vulnerable women who were as he quoted "misfits." But it was quoted that they still "loved" him even after the fact. That was not the case for the other victims in Europe or Asia who suffered violence, rape, kidnapping, etc. Moreover, it is heartbreaking to know how girls at the age of 9 can be working at a brothel, and used for sexual pleasure for as little as .50 cents (not that cost means anything) and be considered “prize merchandise”. I believe that everyone should be exposed to this information, so we could do something about it. Back in the Egyptian times it was said that prostitution was part of the society because adultery was illegal, nowadays prostitution is a booming business and a way of profit for the men who exploit vulnerable women. These women who are targeted that come from broken homes, a past full of violence, drugs and/or alcohol abuse, illegal immigrants, or even because of their young age, and virginity.
In conclusion, I believe that we are all equal human beings and have the birth right to be free and choose to live our life how we want to. So we need to stand up and do something about it for the sake of the people who have no voice and cannot stand up for what they believe in.

Prostitution manifest itself in many different ways. Man and women are force to become part of this world in most cases because they have had a really difficult childhood or perhaps were victims of abuse. One example I would like to describe, is that in my country in the Dominican republic a few years ago they were two girl on vacation alone and they decided to go to a disco. Once in the disco they apparently were aproache by two guys, whom distractec them and pour something in their drink. One of the girl got sick and went to the bathroom while the other one stay. By the time she came back her cousin was no where to be found. This case was reporded to the police and so the story was reporded for a few week. At the same time the parents flew in to the country and by the fourth to fifth week the girl was found, whiout any clothes and all brus up, that apparently she had gotten beat up. They took her to the hospital and interview her and found that while missing she was blid folded, rapped by dmany different men and for worst come of them were carriers of HIV, So basically they where kidnapping girls and selling them to infected people for a one night stand. This tell us that prostitution can occur in the place that we least expected and we should think twice about the places that we decided to go and the people that we trust.

UNICEF reports that across the world, there are over one million children entering the sex trade every year and that approximately 30 million children have lost their childhood through sexual exploitation over the past 30 years. Human trafficking is a relatively low risk business, but if successful, garners high payoffs. Some experts claim that it generates $7 billion. In February 2001, Interpol announced that it generates $19 billion annually. To try to digest this information is simply impossible. How is it that this exists at such a high degree around the world, and how is it that humanity is so willing and selfish to promote and get involved in these types of business. The truth is that even in this day in age children and women are not protected. In some countries they have no rights or free will in order to have fully control over their life. In some cases some of them simply have no wear to turn to so these sex traffickers take advantage of their vulnerability and weakness and paint a promising picture for their victims. Once they are caught in the trap, Victims of trafficking are afraid to testify or contact law enforcement due to their complicity with traffickers and pimps. I believe that if as a human race we continue to spread awareness in these impoverished countries where this has become a common trend, people will be better educated. Still, being realistic this will be very difficult to accomplish due to the fact that poverty will always excess, people from broken homes will always exist, and above all evil will never cease to exist.

Even thouth prostitution is a bad essui that bring many terrible consequenses like hit woman, psicological problems, etc; I think that in one point prostitution by itself wouldn't be somethig bad. Just for one moment think that sex is intrinsecaly related with Adan and Eva. It became to be something bad because they don't follow the rule of God. However, I don't really believe in stereotypes, and I think that while someone is not hurting otherone, I don't consider that is has to be somethig bad. Maybe if it couldn't be somethig prohibiter this bussines couldn't be big as it is. If all arround prostitution couldn't exit why should we have to prohivited it? Maybe the essue of prohibir is the bad thing and the big bussines behaind it. After all, sex is a natural need like eat, sleep, etc.
