There are many things we give a blind eye to when it does not affect us directly, no matter how disturbed we are by it. So, prostitution in the case of human trafficking is to be no different. In today’s general society aside from the disgrace assigned with the trade we see prostitution as a joke. This is exemplified in our “playful” jesters of calling one another (male or female) “whores” or in the case of living in Miami, our references to Seventy-Ninth Street. This can lighten our perception of the seriousness of the matter, even when it does involve children. Some may say that prostitution is a sort of art form expressed with the ‘instrument of the body’. Those people are just attempting to cover their behinds because they know it’s wrong in every which way. Money may be the thing that attracts them (pimps, human traffickers, self-managed prostitutes etc.) to enter the trade but even that pro can transfer into the con pile. As the human body can never be a ‘true’ instrument as it has a mind and conscience that comes along with it. Since the first day a person clicked in their mind that sex was something that could be traded the “struggle” with situations such as today began. Money (trading) has always been the way of the world and I don’t really see it stopping. So, therefore as long as others have what ‘they’ want ‘easy money’ (may it be at the expenses of others) will not stop no matter the consequences.

The things happening in the world with sex trafficking and human slavery in the world is ridiculous. Most can be prevented by governments but are not. Today in Haiti and in Latin America, there are thousands of teenage men and women being sold into underground slavery and sex trafficking and nothing is doing done about it. The United Nations are aware of these issues but refuses to put a stop to it. The sex industry and the exploitation of women is a billion dollar industry that will sooner or later be unable to stop. Sex trafficking and the exploitation of women is being promoted everyday whether through strip clubs or escort services. There’s never a day when I drive in my car and I never hear the King of Diamonds having a special on Saturday or a Celebrity passing by. The things happening to these women is ridiculous; and unfortunately the way there getting paid or beaten they are scared to stop or unwilling to stop, either from the money there making or just fear. Its ridiculous what’s happening in the world but its even ridiculous when nothing is being done about. It’s ashamed to see the United Nations or Governments around the world standing by and doing nothing about it. Its even more ashamed when police officers see what’s going on but are tipped by the sex traffickers to pretend to not noticing anything. What’s happening today is just awful and it’s ashamed that the sex trafficking business is just going to grow.

We still struggle with the issue of human trafficking for basic reasons. Sex has been around since the very moment we became aware of it. With sex came everything else that could possibly be attached to it; addiction, misuse, happiness, enhanced feelings of connection, amplified feelings of solitude when we lose a partner, and so on. It wasn’t long before Mankind’s greed to heed and figured out a way to profit in a market were nearly everyone would be a potential customer. This is exactly why we have strip clubs, pimps, dating websites, mail order brides, and happy endings (not of the fairy tale variety). The main reason why this problem is ignored is even simpler; America makes too much money off of it. If all facets of porn are taken into consideration as sex trafficking, then we are looking at a $14 billion dollar a year industry (Abc news) that shows no signs of slowing down. Porn aside, I think the real issue is the women who fall through the cracks, the ones who are abused, raped, robbed, etc. This is an easier problem to ignore since it seems more evident in poorer countries. I don’t think porn should be included in this debate. Sex is sex. The root of the real concern would be in the treatment of people as means to an end.

Sex is very much like a drug. Most drugs are either physically addicting or mentally addicting. Same with sex. Because sex is an innate desire it is something we cannot ignore. We are biologically programmed to have desires to procreate. Intercourse used to be a beautiful experience between a husband and wife, but some people picked up on the fact that it can turn into a multi-million dollar industry. It is equivalent to the drugs being sold to doctors...they create a medicine that cures certain things but induces other illnesses, therefore, creating this never ending circle of patients needing to buy drugs. Same with the sex industry, whether its prostitution or trafficking, someone caught on to the sickening truth that sex sells and ran with it. The people of this world have such a strong focus on making money in any way they can; as long as they make good money they are doing good in their life. What this whole disgusting sex trade industry comes down to is money and those selfish individuals who will do anything to make some. These heartless beings are among us, only seeing women as means to an end. The sad truth is that sex sells.

Prostitution is the practice of engaging in illicit sexual activity for an economic or
emotional price with randomly chosen people. Both men and women practice prostitution. The exploitation of prostitution is considered to be one of a serious global issue in most of the countries around the world. Also, the number of prostitution is increasing tremendously each year and seems to be more serious than the past centuries. However, yet very few to none of the countries have completely solved this problem. Saudi Arabia and Netherlands are two examples of the countries that prostitution is still considered to be a problem that the government of both countries cannot ignore. There are different solutions that Saudi Arabia and Netherlands have come up with to solve the problem. Prostitutes constitute a group especially prone to incidents of violence. Moreover, evidently prostitution is attached with a cascade of urgent social problems, which negative complementarity calls for a package of solutions to be adopted. Furthermore, the social status defining the profession is perceived to be such that, they probably have continued to make this choice (once entered have stayed at it), because for one reason or another they have been segmented from the more socially acceptable labor markets. As for making every person in the world behave morally is beyond our scope of expertise, but I can definitely say that if slavery is wrong, and sex trafficking is a form of slavery then sex trafficking is wrong.

I think there is so much more to prostitution than what meets the eye. When most of us think of prostitution, we think the corner of 8th street. A joke taken lightly by all but prostitution comes in all shapes and colors from the luxurious playboy mansion to the filthy back alleys of India. The bigger question is, What makes this industry of carnal desires immoral?
I don't believe it is the mere fact of using oneself to means to an end but the way it is conducted. The violence, possession, and abuse that comes with selling ones body is what makes it such a horrid thing.

The ethical issue involving the sexual exploitation of women is that they are not treated as human beings but rather as objects and properties that have a value. I ask myself, why are women seen as objects to begin with and not men. I personally believe we wouldn’t have issues like human trafficking or sexual exploitation if the Bible hadn’t repeatedly mention how inferior women are to men. Since Eve ate the forbidden apple from the tree of knowledge it is her fault why there is evil on Earth and therefore women altogether are seen as sinful and ignorant. Which is why women have been and are treated as worthless objects in places like Eastern Europe, Asia and so on. Also if you look at the statistics were sexual exploitation and human trafficking are most prevalent are in these countries. With that being said, if the Bible never stated women as being inferior to men but rather as equals these issues would not exist or would be at a minimal. Society would then see women and men as equally valued. Then sexual exploitation of women would be seen the same as sexual exploitation of men, bizarre and unusual.

The reason why there is human trafficking is that there are so many selfish people in the world. Someone wants to have sex, and will call a prostitute, thinking how the person feel is the last thing on the client's mind. People don't tend to put them selves in other shoes. If people were more considerate, they would offer a helping hand rather than only focusing on their personal pleasure. I personally wondered what it would be like to star an organization that helps the prostitutes of the street, how many girls would want to be saved. There are those who are just mentally weak, and have been brought down to think there is no other way to make money but this way. If people were less selfish there things wouldn't lead to where they would lead.

Prostitution has been in the world for centuries now. As far as history can take us. It a shame that today young women and male in a young age must go through this to make money, to pay a debit, or been sold by someone. Am amazed how we let this continue specially in our own background. In addition, why has the government taken action on this poor defenseless mean to an end people. Where we go off and say that we can do whatever we want with this human being without have guilt of how it wrong. This may be even unnecessary evil to put through for this people. If god is all kind and all-powerful where he to stop this from his creation. Human trafficking must end before at least in our back yard so that maybe people can stop treating people as a end of their own ass.

Under many eyes the more we grow as a race the more perverse we become. Human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, kidnaps, robberies, corruption, etc., etc., I could keep on going on mentioning tons of negative assets us as human have. Nevertheless we have to understand that this issues are a daily basis in our lives and there is no solution for the upcoming nearby years. Therefore those people who are in capacity of fighting or rejecting this problems have to come forward and try making a change by fighting it. If we all act as team (human race) and fight, in no time bad will transform to good.

The oldest profession as they say, is tied deeply with our culture of consumerism. We WANT things; things to consume, enjoy then discard. These things can be of any nature; they may be in the form of fine foods, gadgets, toys, media, and unfortunately people as well. There is an emptiness in people's hearts. We desire to fill it with all these fleeting things in the hopes of finally feeling "satisfied", yet that satisfaction never lasts, but rather it grows into an even bigger "need". The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, as they say. So people seek after even greater pleasures, and even go to the lengths of enslaving others into fulfilling their desires. Then it suddenly becomes lucrative to sell one's body this way, pornography and other forms of prostitution pay big. Thus it becomes an ever continuing cycle that even modern innovation cannot stop. If we want these things to stop, we must first learn to stop seeking after temporary pleasures, and as such, we still have a ways to go...

Newspapers are full of news on how young teenage women are raped and then murdered brutality. News on how women are merely treated as an object to satisfy one’s own need have become so common these days. Many societies just reject these women who have been a victim. Most of time, these women then step the doors of prostitution. But for other women it’s just a means of earning quick money. Many young women in developing countries fall prey into this web which has its connections worldwide. It’s clear that people who deal into such business possess no conscious whatsoever and all this is done just for a few bucks. We have become slave to this object called money that we are ready to shed our morals and ethics for it. People who indulge in these practices do not think about its consequences. The world will never be free of such evil and something or the other like this will keep coming up.

Prostitution, when people hear this term, a million words runs through their heads. Prostitution is in fact morally wrong and unfortunately many people believe it was a choice made by the person, either male or female. Prostitutes are most of the time looked down upon, believing that they are getting easy money and making their lives much easier while the rest of the world works hard. It’s often seen as degrading, seeing a young man or woman make this choice. Although it may be true that the younger generation may apply for it due to a payment they cannot make or just out of pure desperation to get money, many times it’s not true. Prostitutes do not have their lives easy. It’s a real shame to know that many times young people are rapture from their regular lives and placed into a world that involves not just physical pain but also emotional pain, knowing that they cannot be freed from that world unless they escape. However during escape can also lead to an even more brutal pain. Unfortunately, this matter cannot be stopped since it has been in the world for a very long period of time and if it is stopped, it will continue once again.

Human trafficking is definitely a crime against humanity. The people in this hideous “business” treat people as "means to an end”, especially women and children. It is really sad to see how those unscrupulous people take advantage of innocent people by abusing their freedom and involving them in a horrendous environment. Prostitution is the act or practice of providing sexual services to another person in return for payment. I found out that prostitution is described as "the largest slave trade in history" and is the fastest growing form of contemporary slavery. Human trafficking and prostitution have to stop. It is truly incredible to see the existence of dreadful humans that for a living they exploit innocent women and children with no remorse. Unfortunately, they still exist and I just hope they all go to prison and somehow pay for all the suffering and harmed they have caused to those innocent women and children. Sadly those horrific memories cannot be forgiven but all countries should get together and really discuss and take serious matter to this situation because sooner or later the way that is going now, there would not be a stop to it.

I agree with the statement that prostitution is a dreadful issue of our society. It is true that some people see it as a problem of personal freedom, but I think it is because of the fact that not all the cases of prostitution are a result of being forced or kidnapped. We all know that there are cases when women do it because they want to, justifying themselves by saying that they had to, due to unpaid loans or tuition, hungry kids or some other reasons. It is sad and scary to see what women go through in Nepal, India, Africa. But the worst thing is that living in 21st century, prostitution is still uncontrollable and unpreventable. I think that it is the most shameful feature of today’s society. We should stop being judgmental and start asking ourselves why is this happening? Why this women and kids think that they have no choice? Why are they so desperate that are ready to leave their home and go with random person for a better life?

The oldest profession in history or the worst of all street jobs, prostitution, is present among us and will not go away. Sex has always been exploited, and this is a result of the lack of morals and values our society has. Women are seen as objects, and prostitutes are not taken into account as being human beings. They carry a stigma that will forever remain with them. Perhaps it’s easier for some to see them as deviant, and as an ailment of our perfect society. But they are so much more than that; they are victims and they are the worst type of victims. It was not a friendly hand that let them to that spot, and it’s not a nice hand the one that keeps them there. Horrible circumstances that most of us cannot imagine led them to sell their bodies in order to survive. In the level we are as a society, and with the current advances prostitution should be a thing of the past. Like leper It should be eradicated, left only as a terrible reminder of past horrid times. Unfortunately, sex will always be for sale and there are thousands of people who are willing to pay the price.

It’s incredible how today society still confronts the issues of prostitution, but I have bad news: this will continue to exist forever. Women involved in prostitution are in their majority, girls for whom getting money for offering theirs bodies as sexual instruments is the easiest way to get an economic relief or in many cases is the only source of income. For most of them, education has been denied and their surroundings encourage them to get into prostitution. And society is in part guilty of this problem. Even though women rights have been defended and laws has been created to equal the position of men and women in society, women are still been seeing inferiors to men and at some cases women still get paid an inferior salary to men for doing the same work. So society is still giving a minor place to women, leading many of them to belief that they are not better off at anything also than giving sexual pleasure. Human trafficking and slaves prostitution is even worst. People under this situation has been kidnapped or deceived with promises or false works. Many of them can not come back to their countries because their supposed “employers” destroys their documents and any evidence of their existence, converting them into ghosts unable to recover their identities. Prostitution will continue to exist as soon as women see it as an easy way of getting income and men pays for it. That’s inevitable. But society can reduce the problem by enhancing women education, values and confidence on themselves. Increasing society’s concern about this problem has vital importance to start reducing prostitution among the world.

Prostitution is one of the oldest professions in the world and it does not look like it is going to go away any time soon. There are some many reasons why not. First, as long as we do not educate people more about the prostitution and its consequences it will remain here. Second, poverty is another reason why it will exist and I think until there is poverty it always will human trafficking in countries where people do not have what to eat and can not even support their own family. And I think there is a third reason why prostitution will exist forever is that some of the girls that do prostitution enjoys sex and etc. And as I got to talk couple times with them while traveling in Europe and here in USA, some of the prostitutes say that it can be worse than what they do, while others said that they really enjoy it, and if can even get money while doing it, it gets even better. One prostitute said, that it is like being a star, the better one performs the more people like her the more money she make. So to sum up, it is much more than lack of education, moral problems or poverty in prostitution or human trafficking. While some do not like it, others enjoy it and do not see nothing bad in it.
